Kindness Schools

Since the first time the Syrian war broke out, the Goodness Association continues to provide in-kind and cash assistance to our Syrian brothers and sisters who took refuge in our country from the war.

Although the nature of the aid is provided in a wide range such as clothing, food, shelter, fuel and health expenditures, as the Goodness Association, the main issue we attach importance to is the education of our Syrian refugee brothers and their school-age children.

On this occasion, as the Goodness Association, we are trying to contribute to the education of our Syrian students in Gaziantep with a project we call Goodness Schools. We have Kindness Schools not only in Gaziantep, where the camps are densely located within the borders of Turkey, but also in Syria.

There are 18 Goodness Schools in Gaziantep and Nizip district. These schools serve students from primary school to 8th grade. The total number of students in these schools is 10 thousand. All 350 teachers teaching in schools are Syrians. Currently, the curriculum of the Syrian Interim Government is taught in schools.

In the list of urgent needs of schools, there are stationery, school clothes, cleaning materials, school fees for teachers.

11 of our Kindness Schools are in Syria. 4 of these schools are in the North of Aleppo, 4 are in the West of Aleppo, 2 are in Aleppo and 1 school is in Katme Camp. The number of students studying in schools around Aleppo is about 5 thousand. All of the teachers are Syrian teachers and their number reaches 200.
